(Australian Bush Balladeers Association scholarship) 2006.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Bush Balladeers Association for Sponsoring me for Camerata this year, and that I am very honored to be there under the Bush Balladeers Sponsorship.
Camerata was very good where I had learn a lot with songwriting, learning more on Mandolin, Bass and Guitar. Meet up with a couple of old friends and made alot of new friends through out the week.
We also meet up with Gina Jeffery's, Adam Harvey, Carter and Cater as they teached us all about being in the music industry and what to do with our presentation on stage on our Graduation night at Hats Off .
While we were at Hats Off I had meet up with Lee Kernaghan at Lindsay Butlers Studios and to back my Dad on Bass and to perform a song with my Dad at LBS, and to celebrated Lindsay Butler " Century Not Out" album.
Camerata 2006 Success
Story done by Peter Coad for Bush Balladeer Book
It was with great pleasure that Lorraine Phitzner, Virginia, Lynette and I watched the A.B.B.A Camerata Graduation Concert held in the Blazes Auditorium at the Leagues Club, Thursday 6th July in Tamworth during the “Hat’s Off Weekend”. Kimberley Cook follows in the footsteps of Julie Perandes who was sponsored by David Croser on behalf of the A.B.B.A 2005, as being part of the Camerata}.
This is great experience and learning time for them, and one that we hope will continue to build Kimberley as an artist and performer. There was also a terrific performance from another A.B.B.A member who was part of the Camerarta Kate Botfield. These young ladies have matured into fine young performers, and we certainly look forward to watching their careers grow. To A.B.B.A entrant, Kimberley Cook thank you for a wonderful performance and presenting a true bush ballad. We wish you all the best in the future. On behalf of the A.B.B.A I thank the Camerata committee for supporting the Bush Ballad section as part of their event and look forward to 2007.
Thanks Peter Coad.

Sixteen -year-old Kimberley Cook is from Thangool, Queensland, and is the Australian Bush Balladeers' Association scholarship winner. This is her first time at Camerata where she hoped to learn about songwriting and enhance her musicianship, as she sings and plays guitar, bass and mandolin. Her musical influences include Catherine Britt, Adam Brand, Shaza Leigh, Slim Dusty,Wave Jackson, and she's inspired by The Young Balladeers. Kimberley loves to perform at festivals, bush balladeer shows and charity events and has been competing in talent quests since the age of seven. Her short -term goal is record a single, followed by a full album of her own songs.
